A Sip of the Healthy Side: Home-Made Vitamin Water


We all love to sip on sugary, store bought drinks now and then. Especially when they’re topped with tonnes of whipped cream, caramel swirls, and empty calories.  But deep down we know that there are better options! So swap guilt for fitness, save some money, and fill your cup with a much healthier alternative — home-made vitamin water!  Not only is it incredibly delicious but you’ll have better skin, energy levels and in time, overall health. And you can take this mix anywhere you go (an ideal mid-workout refreshment).  This is how to make your own:

What you’ll need:

1 medium sized jar

1/2 lime

1/4 lemon

1/2 cup strawberries

1/2 cup blackberries

1/4 cup raspberries

1/4 blueberries

2 tsp fruity tea (mango is great!)

Instructions are below!


1. Fill the jar to the top with cold water  (tap, filtered, or carbonated for an extra kick).

2. Wash and cut your fruit, throw them into the water.

3. Scoop your tea into a steeper and place it into the jar. Use 2 teabags instead if you don’t have loose leaf tea and a steeper.

4. Let the mix sit and infuse in a cool place, preferably the fridge for about 3 hours. Serve it chilled over ice or pour into a reusable bottle for health on the go.
