What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and satisfy your chip craving than with healthy, home-made tortilla crisps? These are incredibly easy to make and only take minutes, meaning that you can have more time to sip on your sugary Margaritas.
All you’ll need is:
1 bag of store bought, whole grain tortillas
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 275 Fahrenheit
Slice as many tortillas as you think you’ll chow down on into 8 pieces each. Spread them evenly on an ungreased baking sheet, and pop them into the oven. Leave them there for about 3 minutes on each side, until the edges are slightly brown. Keep a constant eye on them so that they don’t burn.
Now that the crisps are done, serve them with a great dip –roasted red pepper hummus and eggplant baba ganoush make a great pair. So say goodbye to greasy, fried, store bought chips!
Style is served!
