A Taste of Thailand: Bangkok Garden’s Festival of Lights

You don’t have to travel far to get a taste of authentic Thai food –if you live in Toronto, you just have to make a trip to the downtown core! How great is that? Plus, with all the money you save on a plane ticket, you can eat as much as you please. And trust me, you’ll want to.

Just last Thursday, Bangkok Garden hosted their Festival of Lights where guests were treated to a parade of artfully presented Thai tapas, including fresh rolls, sweet& sour veggie skewers, stuffed peppers, and a noodle bar. But there was one small snack in particular that stole the show! Spicy bite-sized curried chicken served in a warm bamboo boat. If you like your food with a kick, then these are for you!

But if things get too hot, you can always strut over to the bar and cool down with one of the restaurant’s signature cocktails. My personal favourite? The Coconut Grove, defined by tropical notes of pineapple, coconut, and rum –YUM!

With all those tantalizing flavors, and not to mention the traditional atmosphere and decor, you may just forget that you’re in the city!

So stop by and try out Bangkok Garden’s tasty food and drinks! For more information and a peek at their menu, check out the website by clicking here. And don’t forget: appetizers are 50% off on Wednesdays (a perfect time to try those popular spicy chicken boats!)

Style (and flavour) is served!
