We all get it — that mid-afternoon craving for something sweet. It comes, and never goes. Not until we often end up stuffing our face with chocolate, or cookies, or whatever else does the trick. But in all honesty, there are better options. So make yourself a healthier alternative instead. These apple-peanut butter bundles pack plenty of crunch, sweetness, and flavour–all without added sugar. Try them out!

3 Tbsp plain, unsweetened peanut butter

1 Granny Smith apple

4 tsp muesli cereal

  1. Wash and slice the apple into 3/4 inch thick portions. Make sure that the centre and seeds have been removed.
  2. Spread enough peanut butter to generously cover each slice.
  3. Sprinkle the muesli cereal on top of the peanut butter.

Now all that’s left is for you to bite in, enjoy, and kick that sweet craving to the curb with a great snack.

This recipe was inspired by How Sweet It Is, but was adapted and made from scratch with PoshDish twists.

4 tbsp peanut butter

2 tbsp honey

1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts

2 1/2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup of Natue’s Path Organic Chia, Buckwheat, and Hemp cereal mix (if you can’t find it in your grocery store, buy the ingredients separately using about 1 tbsp of each)

1 tsp rum essence

1. Melt the peanut butter in the microwave for about 35 seconds, then stir in the honey along with the rum essence.

2. Mix your dry ingredients in a separate bowl and add to the peanut butter-honey concoction.

3. Stir with a spoon until the ingredients stick. Then, form them into spheres with your hands. You should have about 8 medium sized ones with this amount of ingredients.

4. Pop them in the fridge (or freezer for those who are impatient like me!) until chilled.
